MIAMI (AP) â Tyler Herro returned after a six-game absence and scored 27 points, Jimmy Butler had 25 and the Miami Heat moved back into the No. 6 spot in the Eastern Conference, beating the Minnesota Timberwolves 121-110 on Friday night.
Goran Dragic added 23 points for Miami. Herro, who had been out with right foot soreness, was 10 of 13 from the field and 6 of 8 from 3-point range for Miami (36-31).
The win, combined with a loss at Chicago by Boston (35-32), allowed the Heat to pass the Celtics in the standings. Miami opens a two-game series in Boston on Sunday, the teams battling to avoid having to be part of the play-in tournament that awaits the teams finishing between No. 7 and No. 10 in each conference.

MIAMI The plan that Miami coach Erik Spoelstra had entering Friday was to play Tyler Herro in limited shifts, mindful that he was just coming back after a six-game absence.
Herro had other ideas.
Herro came off the bench to score 27 points in 29 minutes, Jimmy Butler added 25 and the Heat beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 121-112 on Friday night to move a game clear of Boston in the race for the No. 6 spot in the Eastern Conference.

Frontier Airlines and Visit Orlando launched a free flight giveaway designed to promote visits to the region as well as highlight some of Florida’s iconic animal species and conservation efforts.
Frontier offers a three-time-a-week service from New Castle Airport to Orlando.
In partnership with four Orlando wildlife parks and preserves, consumers are invited to choose from among resident animals from the Central Florida Zoo and Botanical Gardens, Gatorland, Sea Life Orlando Aquarium, and Wild Florida to determine which animal will adorn the tail of a new Frontier Airlines aircraft.
Frontier has a growing fleet of Airbus jets that will carry the animal theme.
