The National Endowment for Democracy (NED), a congressionally funded, private, nonprofit grant-making organization that works to support freedom around the world, seeks a Program Assistant to provide programmatic and administrative support to the Fellowships Program, based at NED’s International Forum for Democratic Studies, in Washington, D.C. This is a non-exempt level position.
Position Summary:
The Program Assistant shoulders a wide range of administrative, logistical, financial, programmatic, and other responsibilities in support of NED’s Fellowships Program, an international exchange program that hosts Reagan-Fascell Democracy Fellows, Visiting Fellows, and Hurford Youth Fellows.
Responsibilities:
Contributes to the cultural, intellectual, and collegial life of the international exchange program;

The New York Times. Based in Europe since 2008, she focuses on feature stories and profiles at the intersection of culture, politics, and religion, as well as literary reportage and criticism. She has reported from more than two dozen countries and has written about the social and political toll of the European debt crisis in Greece and Italy and the wave of populism that followed in its wake; the French satirical weekly Charlie Hebdo as its staff put out the first issue after a deadly terrorist attack; France s Yellow Vest movement; and the #MeToo movement, among other significant global stories. Karan Bilimoria, Indian-origin peer in the House of Lords and President of the Confederation of British Industry, has been appointed a Visiting Fellow at the University of Oxford. Lord Bilimoria, 59, the founder of Cobra Beer, said he would work on championing the work of the centre, which is a research hub located within Oxford University s Sad Business School dedicated to understanding how the reputations of organisations are created, sustained, enhanced, destroyed and rehabilitated. The work that the Oxford University Centre for Corporate Reputation does around purpose and the value of social approval assets in business has global impact. The SNF Agora Institute at Johns Hopkins University has opened a call for applications for its academic year 2021-2022 Visiting Fellows program. The Visiting Fellows program invites diverse scholars and experts from academia, civil society, government, industry, media, the performing arts, and elsewhere to engage in activities related to the institute s core mission of strengthening global democracy through powerful civic engagement and informed, inclusive dialogue.
The SNF Agora Visiting Fellows collaborate with SNF Agora s permanent faculty, researchers, and students on a range of projects, including (but not limited to) conducting research; teaching courses; writing case stud
