Over $3 Mil available for utility assistance for Riverside County households Funding is available to help low-income households in Riverside County who are behind on bills for utilities. The Community Action Partnership of Riverside County has a Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program available for residents. CAP Riverside can now help residents who qualify with heating and cooling bills, as well as water, sewer, trash, telephone, and Internet bills. CAP Riverside is currently accepting applications for assistance by mail, email, or in one of its of four drop boxes (Blythe, Desert Hot Springs, Hemet and Riverside). Residents can find the application online or by calling CAP Riverside at 951-955-4900 to request an application be mailed to them

GOVERNOR PARSON ANNOUNCES $46 MILLION IN CHILD CARE FUNDING

Governor Parson said as Governor, he is committed to finding innovative ways to help Missouri working families. Wednesday’s announcement includes a new $2.5 million grant opportunity for child care providers across the state. Child care providers may apply for a grant of up to $25,000 to support the needs of school age children who are virtually learning while in their care. To help offset income loss due to low attendance during COVID-19, $12 million will be provided to fund 20 percent rate differential payments from January through May 2021 for Child Care Subsidy Program providers not currently receiving disproportionate share rate differential payments. Today’s announcement also includes continuation of several vital child care benefits for low-income Missourians:
