The Centre provides the Post Devolution Revenue Deficit Grant to the States under Article 275 of the Constitution.
The Centre has released the 3rd monthly instalment of Post Devolution Revenue Deficit (PDRD) Grant of Rs. 9,871 crore for the current Financial Year (FY)to the state of Andhra Pradesh along with 16 other State as recommended by the 15th Finance Commission.
The State of Andhra Pradesh received Rs 1,438 Crore June Instalment and has received a total of Rs 4314.24 Crore for the first three months (April-June) of FY 2021-22.
The States recommended for Post Devolution Revenue Deficit Grant apart from Andhra Pradesh are Assam, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Tripura, Uttarakhand and West Bengal.
Kerala has received the highest revenue deficit grant of Rs 4,972.74 crore in FY22 so far, followed by West Bengal (Rs 4,401.75 crore) and Andhra Pradesh (Rs 4,314.24 crore.)
