Beach Boys Guitarist David Marks Leads Class Action Lawsuit Against UMG
Marks accuses the company of underreporting international streaming revenue

David Marks, an early member of The Beach Boys, has filed a class action lawsuit against UMG Recordings in which he accuses the company of shorting its artists millions of dollars from international streaming revenue.
According to the lawsuit, filed in California federal court on Thursday, Marks says that UMG is “contractually required to pay artists a portion of the international revenue it receives from the exploitation of Plaintiff and Class Members’ artistic works from digital streaming.”

There is a Proposed Settlement in a class action lawsuit that claims Diamond Pet Foods violated state laws regarding the labeling and marketing of certain pet food products. Diamond denies the claims in this lawsuit.

BURLINGTON â A former employee is the first plaintiff in a class action suit against Vermont Bread Company, Koffee Kup and American Industrial Acquisition Corporation, alleging the abrupt termination of himself and 500 other employees was a violation of the federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act of 1988.
The suit was filed by Thomas P. Aicher, of Cleary Shahi & Aicher in Rutland, in collaboration with Lankenau & Miller in New York City, The Gardner Firm in Mobile, Ala., and the Sugar Law Center for Economic and Social Justice in Detroit, on behalf of former Vermont Bread employee Matthew Chaney of Brattleboro.
