RICHMOND, Va. Some Richmond activists are remembering those in the Black community who were not able to commemorate Black History Month.
A small group gathered at the Rumors of War statue at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and then marched down Arthur Ashe Boulevard Saturday afternoon.
The group said their goal was to remember those who lost their lives to racial injustice, including George Floyd and Trayvon Martin.
âWe re marching in testament and standing for those people that did pass, that will maybe go forgotten,â Dillon Richards said. âAnd [we] hope that they don t. And hope that their lives did matter for the moments that they had.â
