Protest Asked To Resign On 1/8/21 at 2:55 PM EST Amanda Chase, a Republican state senator and gubernatorial candidate in Virginia, has been asked to resign by some of her colleagues after attending a pro-Trump riot at the U.S. Capitol that ultimately turned violent and deadly. Chase attended the Stop the Steal rally for President Donald Trump in Washington D.C. on Wednesday afternoon, but said she left before rioters violently stormed the Capitol building.
