Juneteenth June 19 was unanimously voted a federal holiday by the Senate yesterday. The measure to pass a Juneteenth National Independence Day passed the house by a large margin today. President Joe Biden will need to sign the bill for it to become law.  And that puts New Jersey, which made Juneteenth a state observance on Sept. 10, and New York, which made Juneteenth a state holiday on Oct. 14, ahead of the curve. And it leaves Randy Glover, producer of Bergen County s Juneteenth Celebration in Overpeck Park Saturday from noon to 6 p.m., feeling good about himself, his colleagues, and the county.
