The legislation is a sweeping proposal that would implement the strongest protections for workers since 1935, when collective bargaining itself was first given legal protection in the United States.

“This has to end. It’s a national embarrassment,” Biden said at a White House news conference alongside Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga.
Biden said Congress should ban military-style “assault” weapons and large-capacity ammunition magazines. Biden authored a similar ban in the US Senate that expired in 2004.

Today was already heavy. It was a day where we are mourning the loss of 32 lives during a mass shooting at Virginia Tech University April 16, 2007.
To add to this, we also mourn the loss of eight additional lives that were taken selfishly late last night at a Fedex facility. The gunman, 19 year old Brandon Scott Hole, went to the Indianapolis facility and opened fire. Indianapolis Deputy Police Chief Craig McCartt detailed the fatal event, The suspect came to the facility, he got out of his car and pretty quickly started some random shooting outside the facility. Then he did go into the facility for a brief time before he took his own life.
