The Louisville Cardinals (12-0, 5-0 ACC) are ranked No. 1 in the country for the first time in program history. As you can see from this tweet, they were really anxious for the rankings to come out:
But Louisville has actually only faced one ranked opponent this season: the No. 18 DePaul Blue Demons on Dec. 4.
The Cardinals won that game in convincing fashion, 116-75, but have yet to face a ranked ACC team. They will get the chance to do that on Thursday night at 9 p.m. ET when they take on the No. 23 Syracuse Orange (7-1, 4-1 ACC).

What was Darrisaw to Virginia Tech?
An overlooked high school prospect, Darrisaw was as steady as they come from the moment he arrived in Blacksburg, and he was a three-year starter who was a mainstay guarding the quarterback’s blindside.
He had three offers in high school before Tech came calling from North Carolina Central, Central Connecticut and Morgan State. He signed with the Hokies and prepped for a year at Fork Union. When he got to Virginia Tech, he became a starter from Day
