There are 10,458 total COVID-19 related deaths, with 8,767 being confirmed and 1,691 being probable. The case numbers are up by 1700, and deaths are up by 7 since Friday. A total of 6,680,238 COVID-19 PCR tests have now been given in Virginia. Virginia has now given a total of 4,615,336 COVID-19 vaccines. That is 101,054 statewide doses given in a day. Nearly 70 additional COVID-19 patients have been discharged from Virginia hospitals in the last 24 hours, according to data from the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association (VHHA). The VHHA reports a total of 52,229 hospitalized COVID-19 patients have been discharged, an increase from 52,161 (+68) patients since Thursday s update. Hospitalizations have decreased in Virginia over the last 24 hours. There are currently 1,106 patients in hospitals who are either positive or whose test results are pending, down from 1,111 (-5) Thursday, according to the VHHA. Officials said 941 (+18) of those patients have COVID-19 while 165 (-23) have tests pending.
