York County and James City County Parks and Recreations are offering summer camps for youths with disabilities. (WYDaily/Courtesy of Unsplash) HISTORIC TRIANGLE With summer quickly approaching, the Historic Triangle is gearing up for their camp programs to keep local youth busy with outdoor activities, with the inclusive programs for children with disabilities.  There are a couple programs in the area that are specifically designed to accommodate young people with special needs.  Whether it’s arts and crafts, swimming, or field trips, here is a roundup of summer camps in the area for youth with disabilities.  York County’s Special Recreation Camp:

Yes, Virginia, we also have bobcats…though it’s quite easy to forget. These secretive felines rarely like coming into view, so you’ll probably never see one in the wild. But what if you do? Here are five things you need to know about bobcats. Bobcats have other names. Its Latin name is Lynx Rufus. While the bobcat gets its name from its short, bobbed tail, it’s also known as a “red lynx” or “bay lynx.” There used to be 12 recognized subspecies, but that was challenged in 1981. Now, there are only two subspecies identified in North America, according to the Species Survival Commission. 

Judith Nevias Diamond, 92, active with National Council of Jewish Women

Judith Nevias Diamond NEWPORT NEWS Judith Nevias Diamond (29 and holding, plus 63) passed away at home surrounded by family Wednesday, March 10, 2021. There was a private burial service due to the pandemic. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Lawrence Diamond. She is survived by two daughters, Sherry Diamond Liebman of Virginia Beach and Marian Diamond (Ari Tapper) of Fairfax Station; four grandchildren, Daniel, Rachel, Ben and Zoe; and cat, Callie. Our mom, Judy, was raised in Phoebus and was a proud Hampton High Crabber. She graduated from the College of William & Mary at the age of 19 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. She worked as a social worker, then in the government and thereafter worked with her husband at their family-owned drugstore, Diamond Pharmacy, for 53 years.
