TYSONS, VA Ridgeline International, Inc., a Tysons-based technology solutions provider, will expand and create 162 jobs.
Ridgeline, which has clients in the federal government as well a commercial and nonprofit sectors, had been named one of Forbes America s Best Startup Employers in 2020 and was ranked one of America s Fastest Growing Companies by The Financial Times. Today, it has over 200 employees, and half of the 2019 hires were veterans. First and foremost, operating out of Fairfax County has afforded us access to an impressive and ideal talent pool. This is important for any emerging startup, particularly one centered on scarce technical talent, said Ridgeline International CEO Erik Wittreich in a statement. Amazon To Hire 1,000 At Henrico County, VA Fulfillment Center
Amazon will build a new, state-of-the-art robotics fulfillment center on 119 acres of ancillary land at Richmond Raceway in Henrico County, VA. The company will construct a multi-story, 650,000-square-foot facility with innovative robotics technology, and add more than 1,000 jobs to its existing workforce of more than 27,000 employees in Virginia. The facility will be the first of its kind in Central Virginia and is expected to launch in 2022.
RINGGOLD, Va. â Elected officials from Pittsylvania County and the City of Danville, along with Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam and Virginia Secretary of Agriculture Bettina Ring and other state and community leaders, joined AeroFarms representatives on Thursday for a groundbreaking ceremony for its newest 136,000 square foot indoor vertical farming facility in Ringgold â the worldâs largest aeroponic vertical farm.
AeroFarms, a Certified B Corporation and leader in vertical farming, has developed its own proprietary growing technology to be able to grow produce all year round with annual productivity up to 390 times greater than traditional field farming. Once completed, the new facility, located in the Cane Creek Industrial Centre, will be the largest and most sophisticated aeroponic vertical farm in the world, and is part of AeroFarmsâ expansion plans to address some of our most pressing agriculture and environmental challenges.

HENRICO COUNTY, VA Amazon plans to build a new robotics fulfillment center on a 119-acre site at the Richmond Raceway in Henrico County, Gov. Ralph Northam announced Wednesday. The facility, the first of its kind in central Virginia, is expected to open in 2022.
The company will build a multi-story, 650,000-square-foot facility with robotics technology at the site, adding more than 1,000 new jobs to Amazon s existing workforce of 27,000 full- and part-time employees in the state.
