He said that in this regard a series of meetings had been proposed with the stakeholders immediately after Eid. One meeting would be held with Prime Minister Imran Khan so that the exporters could interact directly with him and highlight their core issues.

Dawood to address APSA issues July 9, 2021 ISLAMABAD: Adviser to the Prime Minister on Commerce Abdul Razak Dawood on Thursday assured All Pakistan Salt Association (APSA) of his full cooperation and support in resolving their issues. He gave this assurance while chairing a meeting to discuss issues related to the salt industry and export enhancement plans, a statement said. The APSA apprised the adviser that sales tax has been imposed in the budget on mined salt at excavation stage. As poor labourers were involved in mining of salt, this step would adversely affect the industry, they added. Ministry appoints counsellors in China Counsellors will strive to bring Chinese investment to Pakistan APP July 08, 2021 ISLAMABAD: Adviser to Prime Minister on Commerce Abdul Razak Dawood has said that the Ministry of Commerce has intensified its efforts and is appointing honorary investment counsellors to bring Chinese investment to Pakistan. Speaking at a conference organised by the Pakistan-China Institute, the adviser said that the commerce ministry was appointing honorary investment counsellors in different Chinese cities to encourage investors to pour investment into Pakistan. “We have organised several video conferences with Chinese investors and parties in different cities and I am pleased to say that now we have eight honorary investment counsellors who know Pakistan well,” he added. “They (will) help to build a relationship between people.”
