Published April 27, 2021 12:45pm The Philippines and Chile have inked an accord to strengthen the economic cooperation between the countries. Trade Undersecretary Ceferino Rodolfo and Chile’s Vice Minister for Trade Rodrigo Yáñez virtually signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for the establishment of a joint economic cooperation. In a statement on Tuesday, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) said the signing of the MOU is a significant milestone for both economies as it represents the first trade and investment mechanism of the Philippines to formally engage the South American Region.

Five Cabinet members on Friday signed Joint Memorandum Circular 21-01 to put in place a Safety Seal Certification Program to vouch for businesses.
To avail, a store must have its business permits in order, use the government s StaySafe.ph platform for contact tracing, and observe minimum health standards at all times. This means strict social distancing, proper ventilation, and the wearing of masks and face shields within the premises.
