More than 100 workers from the O Connell Street store have been on strike for better redundancy terms 333 days now after the department store ceased its Irish operations in April of last year.
Orla O’Connor, Director of the National Women’s Council commented: “It is completely unacceptable that nearly a year on the Debenhams workers are still left in this dire situation. And it is very concerning that the same pattern is now emerging for the Arcadia workers.
