Ekiti NLC gives govt May 1 deadline to pay outstanding workers salaries

The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, Ekiti State Chapter, has given the State Governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, till May 1 to pay all outstanding salaries of workers in the state.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that this is contained in a statement signed by Messrs Kolapo Olatunde and Sola Adigun, Chairman, Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC), respectively, which was made available to newsmen in Ado-Ekiti on Saturday.
The statement demanded the immediate payment of outstanding salaries and other matters of workers welfare and interest as the Year 2021 workers’ Day (May-Day) approaches.
