Men failed to provide information to police

TWO men have been fined for failing to provide information to the police in Droitwich. A court heard Joseph Ludbrook failed to give information to police relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence. The verdict was proved in absence at Worcester Magistrates Court on April 21 2021. Ludbrook, 31, of Moxley Road, Darlaston, Wednesbury, was fined £660, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £66, costs of £210 to the Crown Prosecution Service, and his driving record was endorsed with six points. The offence took place on August 5 2019. And in Droitwich on March 16 2020, Leonard John failed to give information to police relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

Convicted Worcester paedophile caught by two different online hunter groups

A CONVICTED paedophile from Worcester who was caught by an online group of hunters has been ensnared again just two months after he was sentenced. Online paedophile hunters from a group called Innocent Voices confronted Ian Pursall in a video streamed on Facebook and viewed more than 50,000 times. Pursall had already been convicted of attempted sexual communication with a child in February after being caught by a different group of online hunters form a group known as Leave Our Kids Alone In the video, released on April 24, Pursall can be seen being held by the arms by two of the group as a third, a woman, announces why they are there.

Jail for idiot driver after Worcester M5 fast lane nap

A DANGEROUS driver fell who asleep in his van in the fast lane of the motorway at Worcester has been jailed. Rhys Kelly stopped his Mercedes Sprinter works van in the fast lane of the M5 before he nodded of, lying across both seats. As previously reported at Worcester Magistrates Court, the 25-year-old had smoked cannabis and drunk alcohol, making him unfit to drive. When challenged by officers, Kelly woke up and drove off at around 34mph over a distance of around a mile and a half. Kelly of New Road, Rednal admitted dangerous driving which included failure to stop when required and driving while unfit through drink and drugs on the southbound carriageway between junction 5 (Droitwich) and junction 7 (Worcester south) on August 23 last year.
