In a statement, Hawks spokesperson Zinzi Hani said the 41-year-old gun shop owner was linked to the supplying of firearms through a separate investigation and faces a range of charges. “The Durban-based firearms dealer was allegedly linked to an illegal supply of firearms through his dealership to criminal gangs in the Western Cape.

Kidderminster man harassed woman by sending gifts to her work

Kidderminster Magistrates Court A MAN from Kidderminster was given a six-week curfew for harassing a woman by sending unwanted gifts to her place of work. Andrew Spencer, aged 40, of Droitwich Road, pleaded guilty to a charge of harassment at Redditch Magistrates Court on Monday, January 4. Between September 19 and September 23, 2019, Spencer pursued a course of conduct which amounted to harassment, including text messages, phone calls and sending gifts to the woman s place of employment. Magistrates made a restraining order, prohibiting Spencer from contacting the victim, and ordered he abide by a curfew with electronic monitoring for six weeks. He must also pay £100 in compensation.

Kidderminster man fined over Facebook suicide threats

A round-up of some of the latest cases at Kidderminster Magistrates Court. A MAN from Kidderminster was fined after he harassed a woman by sending her Facebook messages threatening to kill himself. Stephen Bateman, 60, of Avon Road, pleaded guilty to harassment at Kidderminster Magistrates Court on Thursday, December 10. The court heard how, between December 15 and December 19 last year, Bateman sent the victim Facebook messages, saying he was going to kill himself and that it was her fault. Magistrates fined him £60 and ordered him to pay a £32 victim surcharge plus £135 in court costs. In a case on Wednesday, December 9, a Kidderminster man was given a suspended sentence after he entered Savers in Kidderminster with the intent to steal.
