Punjab: Two Covid-19 deaths, fifty new cases reported from Ludhiana | Ludhiana News

Representative image. LUDHIANA: The number of Covid-19 patients getting cured in Ludhiana is increasing with each passing day. There are 434 active patients in the district at present. According to deputy commissioner Varinder Sharma, a total of 50 patients (29 new patients from district Ludhiana and 21 from other states/districts) have tested positive in the last 24 hours. A total of 52,36,92 samples have been taken till date, out of which report of 52,24,08 samples have been received, of which 49,42,67 samples were found negative while report of 1,284 samples were pending. He said that now, the total number of patients related to Ludhiana is 24515, while 3626 patients are related to other districts/states.

Stray bull hits bike, kills villager | Ludhiana News

Ludhiana: A 31-year-old resident of Jangpur village, Mullanpur Dakha, was killed and his friend injured after a stray bull hit their motorcycle in Dhanaula, Barnala, around 8am on Tuesday. Deceased Harminder Singh was driving the motorcycle and his friend, Gurjeet Singh, also of Jangpur, was riding pillion. They were on way home from Tikri border, Delhi, when the accident took place. Gurjeet said, “Our village had collected firewood for farmers protesting at Delhi borders. On a bike, Harminder and I escorted the truck loaded with firewood to Tikri border four days ago. The truck returned the next day to bring people to Tikri border. On Tuesday, we left for our village on Harminder’s bike.”

39 positive cases, no death in Ludhiana district

6681 Ludhiana, December 21 Thirtynine persons tested positive for Covid, while no death was reported due to it in the district today. The total number of positive cases in the district has reached 24,418, while the death count remained the same as 949. There are 597 active cases in the district at present, while 77 people were home quarantined today. The number of samples collected from the district till date are 5,15,997. Today, three patients were on ventilator support, out of whom one belonged to Ludhiana district, while two were from other districts. Deputy Commissioner Varinder Sharma said whenever the district administration and the Health Department, Ludhiana, find out about any positive or suspected Covid-19 person, their samples are immediately sent for testing.

LUDHIANA: Deputy commissioner Varinder Sharma on Friday informed that under the Mission Fateh of the Punjab government, the number of Covid-19 patients getting cured in district Ludhiana is increasing with each passing day. He said that there are 599 active patients in the district at present. He said that sincere efforts are being made to keep people safe from Covid-19. He said that a total of 83 patients (75 new patients from district Ludhiana and 8 from other states/districts) have tested positive in the last 24 hours time. He further said that till date, a total of 5,09,221 samples have been taken, out of which report of 5,06,969 samples have been received, of which 479162 samples were found negative while report of 2252 samples were pending. He said that now, the total number of patients related to Ludhiana is 24,259, while 3548 patients are related to other districts/states.
