Los Lunas, NM -On Monday, April 5, 2021, around 5:00 p.m., the Valencia County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to 4235 State Road 314 in Los Lunas, for a domestic violence call.
When deputies arrived on scene, they located a female with a gunshot wound and a deceased male victim on the property. The female was transported to a hospital in Albuquerque where she is being treated for her injuries. The male victim was pronounced deceased on scene by the Office of the Medical Investigators. The male victim was later identified as Tyler East (30).
The New Mexico State Police Investigations Bureau was called to investigate this homicide. State Police agents learned that East and his girlfriend were having a domestic dispute. During the dispute, East brandished a weapon, shot his girlfriend, and then dragged her out of the residence. While outside, East was shot by a male subject who was at the residence. East

State road 314 southbound is closed Share Updated: 9:04 PM MDT Apr 5, 2021 By Jaden Torres New Mexico State Police Investigations Bureau was called to investigate a homicide Monday night at 4235 State HWY 314 on the south end of Los Lunas. The Valencia County Sheriff s Office is assisting state police in the southbound road closure, providing a detour for drivers. State Road 314 southbound is closed from mile marker 4 to mile marker 5. Traffic is being diverted west onto Village Road. A spokesperson with the Valencia County Sheriff s office said the road closure is expected to last for the majority of the night as state police investigate the scene. ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. The Valencia County Sheriff s Office has confirmed that Tyler East, a former MMA fighter, was shot and killed in Los Lunas Monday evening.
Authorities said the shooting happened near Highway 314 by the airport. State police will be handling the investigation.

Two Valencia County Sheriffâs Office deputies have joined the FBI Violent Crime Task Force (VCTF).
Special Agent in Charge James Langenberg, of the Albuquerque FBI Division, recently swore in the deputies as federal task force officers at the FBI field office.
âThe FBI Violent Crime Task Force has made a huge impact since it was created a year and a half ago, thanks to the support and participation of our partners,â SAC Langenberg said. âThis group of highly trained agents, officers, and deputies has arrested more than 230 dangerous criminals and taken hundreds of weapons off our streets.â
âThe Valencia County Sheriffâs Office is proud to be working with the FBI in the fight to suppress violent crimes in our community. We are dedicated to achieving impactful results which will both make our neighborhoods safer and reduce crime.
