Why digital skills?
Digital skills cut across many policy areas. They are necessary for economic competitiveness and critical to job creation and employability. A lack of digital skills and learning opportunities create a ‘digital divide’ exacerbating the exclusion of those persons and communities already vulnerable and marginalised in society, as witnessed during the pandemic.

he AGNES Intra-Africa Mobility Grant and AGNES-PAWS Intra-Africa Mobility Grant enable junior researchers (Doctoral students) from sub-Saharan African countries to spend research stays of 1-2 months at a university/research institute in another sub-Saharan African country (hereafter referred to host institution), where they will be collaborating with an experienced researcher (hereafter referred to as scientific host).
The proposed research must be part of the work towards the Doctoral research, including but not limited to bench work, laboratory studies, use of library resources and write up of thesis or part of the thesis.

Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kaziranga University (K.U.), Jorhat, on January 28, 2021. IIT Guwahati hosted the MoU signing event for the Kaziranga University team including, Dr. P. K. Mishra, Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Diganta Munshi, Registrar, and other faculty delegates.
The MoU was signed between Prof. T. G. Sitharam, Director, IIT Guwahati, and Dr. P. K. Mishra, Vice-Chancellor, K.U. This will enable both the Institutes to closely engage in the areas of curriculum enhancement, collaborative work in the field of research & development and boosting entrepreneurship ecosystem in the region.
