Dr Jitendra launches â75â yrs series Pension awareness to mark 75 yrs of independence

NEW DELHI, Apr 12 : Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr. Jitendra Singh today launched “75” series Pension awareness to mark 75 years of India’s independence.
As a part of the “Amrut Mahotsav” to commemorate India @75, the Department of Pension and Pensioners Welfare will organize a wide range of activities, characterized by “75” serial figure.
Dr Jitendra Singh said, it would be a highly innovative and creative method of observing the 75th year of India’s independence by dedicating it to the cause of pensioners and elder citizens. This, he said, would personify the real essence of “Bharat Ka Amrut Mahotsav” by addressing the elder citizens through one of the youngest mediums of social platform.

Successive governments deliberately stalled Shahpur Kandi project: Union Minister Jitendra Singh
KATHUA: Accusing the successive governments at the Centre and the then State of Jammu & Kashmir of deliberately stalling the prestigious Shahpur Kandi Dam National project for 45 long years, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr. Jitendra Singh said, history will seek answers as to what were the political compulsions behind this delay. He said, while the governments of both the States of Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir were involved in this project, it was the wrong prioritization and the discriminatory attitude of the successive Jammu & Kashmir governments, which was responsible for this delay. He also accused the successive elected representatives from the area of not raising the issue, just to keep their Kashmir-centric leadership in good humour.

NEW DELHI: Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr. Jitendra Singh today reviewed the measures undertaken by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) to contain COVID spread, particularly in the wake of the recent spike in positive cases.
The meeting was attended, among others, by Union Secretary DoPT Deepak Khandekar, Union Secretary Administrative Reforms Indevar Pandey, Union Secretary and Establishment Officer K Srinivasan, Union Secretary Alok Ranjan, Secretary (Equivalent) Sujata Chaturvedi, Joint Secretary Pension S N Mathur and other senior officers in the Ministry of Personnel including DoPT, ARPG and Department of Pension.
