What is the EU Taxonomy Climate Delegated Act?
The EU s Taxonomy Regulation, which entered into force on 12 July 2020, will help create the world s first-ever “green list” - a classification system for environmentally sustainable economic activities. It will create a common language that investors can use when investing in projects and economic activities that have a substantial positive impact on the climate and the environment. The Regulation tasked the Commission with establishing technical screening criteria through Delegated Acts. The first Delegated Act, politically agreed today by the College of Commissioners, defines the technical screening criteria for economic activities that can make a substantial contribution to climate change mitigation and climate change adaptation. The Delegated Act will be formally adopted at the end of May and will enter
