Published July 21, 2021, 7:23 AM Even as the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases has been urged to suspend its recent decision allowing minors from five to 17 years old in outdoor areas due to the threat of the more virulent Delta variant of the coronavirus (COVID-19), minors who are accompanied by adults continue to go out of their homes in many parts of Rizal Province which is under the General Community Quarantine (GCQ) classification. Some restrictions likely to be reimposed amid Delta variant threat —Palace

Published July 21, 2021 8:02am Some restrictions are likely to be restored amid the reported local cases of the more transmissible Delta variant of the coronavirus, presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said Wednesday. Roque did not elaborate, but he could be referring to the policy prohibiting children aged 5 years to 17 from going outdoors. (It is scientifically proven that the Delta variant is more contagious and that s why the president said we may have to restore some restrictions and that seems like a sure thing already.)
