Abu Dhabi Ports enters offshore logistics business with Allianz Marine

Photo: nnithinn - Unsplash Abu Dhabi Ports’ maritime arm Safeen has signed an agreement with Allianz Marine & Logistics Services (AMLS) to launch a new integrated maritime logistics services firm. Headquartered in Abu Dhabi, the new joint venture firm Offshore Support and Logistics Services Company (OFCO – Offshore International) will provide onshore and offshore integrated logistics solutions and subsea services in the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) region and beyond. Captain Maktoum Al Houqani, head of maritime cluster, Abu Dhabi Ports, said: “When we considered the growth of the global offshore support vessel market, as well as the offshore projects market, we saw a tremendous opportunity and potential for a new integrated marine logistics provider. Operating under the title of Offshore Support and Logistics Services Company (OFCO – Offshore International), headquartered in Abu Dhabi, the new joint venture will be one of the largest, most capable, and cost-efficient providers of onshore and offshore integrated logistics solutions and subsea services in the GCC [Gulf Cooperation Counci] Gulf Cooperation Council region and beyond, Abu Dhabi Ports said in a statement.

New JV to develop UAE’s first solar landfill project ABU DHABI, January 22, 2021 Emirates Waste to Energy Company, a joint venture between Bee’ah and Masdar, will undertake a pioneering project to develop Bee’ah’s landfill into a solar farm, the first of its kind in the UAE.   The agreement was announced jointly by Khaled Al Huraimel, Group Chief Executive Officer of Bee’ah and Chairman of the Emirates Waste to Energy Company, and Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi, Chief Executive Officer of Masdar, during Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week which takes place virtually this week, said a Wam news agency report.
