New cases of COIVD-19 announced by multiple health units.
Among new case counts of COVID-19 yesterday into today, Public Health Sudbury and Districts is reporting three new cases for the catchment area. Of the newly reported cases, one has been linked to travel, one with close contact with another confirmed case and one has no known link at this time. Despite the three new cases, Greater Sudbury’s number of active cases dropped by one, from 10 to nine on Tuesday as four cases were declared resolved.
Meanwhile the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit reported one new case of COVID-19 yesterday. The case involves a person between 20 and 39 years of age in Parry Sound District who was exposed through community spread. The person is isolating at home.

A new case of COVID-19 has been reported by the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit Wednesday.
The case is the region’s 114th since the pandemic was declared in March and involves a person in the Parry Sound District aged 40 to 59 who was exposed through close contact with a case.

The person is self isolating.
There are now two active cases in Nipissing and 13 in Parry Sound District. Of those, 14 are isolating and one is isolating in hospital.
There have now been 63 cases of COVID-19 in Nipissing District and 51 in Parry Sound District, including one death.
