A Hawke s Bay health official has urged locals and visitors to continue using the NZ Covid Tracer app as thousands pour into the region for a weekend of events.
There is also concern about the number of people who may seek the emergency department at Hawke s Bay Hospital ahead of the Six60 concert on Saturday night.
The performance is expected to attract about 20,000 people.
Hawke s Bay District Health Board medical officer of health Dr Nick Jones said with the number of daily scans down significantly and a big weekend in Hawke s Bay, visitors and locals must do their bit to keep the region free of Covid-19.

A Hastings rest home has gone into a precautionary lockdown due to an outbreak of respiratory illness.
Colwyn House Lifecare in Mahora sent a letter out to resident s families halting family or friends from visiting loved ones in the care home due to a spike in infections.
She is the face and voice of Aunty s Garden, which blossomed in 2003 when Lawrence became inspired by traditions of sharing surplus produce between marae. She established a community garden at Waipatu Marae in Hastings. “I asked my cousin if I could use the land next to marae for a garden, and they said yes. So I said to my husband, ‘right get the tractor out’ and then it just went from there,” she recalled. “We just planted things in long rows to start off with. Then in 2009 John Key came to give us some funding. It wasn t much, but the next round we got was from the Hawke s Bay District Health Board.”

In 2012, Rhianna, known as Rhi Rhi, was diagnosed with adamantinoma - an extremely rare bone cancer in her leg.
After having metal rods and screws put in her leg, the teenager was told the cancer had spread to her lungs in 2015, with little chance of a cure.

Water was sprayed on parts of the ship today as investigators worked to get a better look at the damage. The Transport Accident Investigation Commission has opened an inquiry into the causes and circumstances of the fire. Harald Hendel, chief investigator of accidents at the commission, had appointed a team of two investigators for the inquiry.

FENZ is working with Napier Port, Maritime NZ, Transport Accident Investigation Commission and the ship company to investigate the fire. “The investigation team has expert knowledge of marine operations, engineering, maintenance and electronic forensics,” Hendel said. The ship was moved to a different area of the port on Thursday so firefighters could complete their investigation, which is likely to take some time to complete, a FENZ spokesman said. A drone was used to assist crews.
