Register-Guard Oregon AG doesn t speak for me  Last year, following the Supreme Court s decision that declared convictions from non-unanimous juries unconstitutional, Oregon Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum said, This is good news! It is an embarrassment to our otherwise progressive state that we … allow criminal convictions without juror unanimity.   Of course, what Rosenblum failed to say is that her department of justice argued precisely the opposite position in a brief filed with the court.  This week, the Supreme Court considered whether to retroactively apply its ruling, which would void convictions from non-unanimous juries in Oregon. Once again, the Rosenblum far from taking the progressive position  filed a brief stating that those convictions should stand.
