Attorney-General Christian Porterâs federal seat could soon be abolished with the Australian Electoral Commission set to announce this month which WA electorate will be mothballed.
Mr Porterâs seat of Pearce, which includes parts of northern Perth and regional areas such as Gingin and Toodyay, has been floated by WA Labor as the electorate which should be dumped in the AECâs upcoming redistribution. Victoria will gain a representative due to national population changes while WA will lose one.
