Grime star Solo 45 s jail term is increased to 30 years by Court of Appeal

Grime star Solo 45 has had his 24-year jail term for holding four women against their will and repeatedly raping them in sadistic sex attacks increased to 30 years. Senior judges at the Court of Appeal today concluded the sentence handed down to the rapper, real name Andy Anokye, in July was unduly lenient . The 33-year-old was found guilty last year of 30 charges - made up of 21 rapes, five counts of false imprisonment, two counts of assault by penetration and two of assault occasioning actual bodily harm - relating to a two-year period. He was handed a 29-year extended sentence, made up of a 24-year jail term and an extended licence period of five years at the time, but this was today increased to a 30-year jail term and five years additional licence.

Jail sentence of man who groomed teenage boy will not be extended AN ATTEMPT to extend the sentence of a man who touched a child sexually when they had gone swimming in the sea has failed. Jack Vincent Lane was jailed for 12 months after being found guilty of three offences of sexual activity with a child. The case of the 23-year-old, of Hangersley, Ringwood, was submitted to the Attorney General s Office (AGO) to assess whether his punishment was unduly lenient . Following careful consideration by Solicitor General Michael Ellis QC MP, he concluded he could not refer the case to the Court of Appeal.
