  Thank you for your interest in the Block Island Historical Society. We value everyone who shares our love of the island and history. “ Thursday Night at the Museum”  public  programs continue:   Thursday, 7/15/21 at 8:00 pm we will host  an outdoor slide tour of “Island History with Kristine Monje”, school principal & taxi driver; 8:15 pm - 9:15 pm. The Museum Shop will be open 7:00 - 9:30 pm.  We are grateful for a grant from the Champlin Foundation that is helping to fund  storm window installation on the 3rd floor as well as the newly restored 1st floor windows. Work on these projects will begin this summer. We will also start the work funded by the  1772 Foundation/Preserve RI grant for restoration of the cupola.
