Oswego Health adds two new practitioners to Fulton PrimeCare

OSWEGO - With the recent expansion of primary care in Fulton, Oswego Health welcomed two new practitioners to the community, Matthew J. Kohls, PA, and Heather Daniels, FNP-C. Originally from Macungie, Pa., Matthew J. Kohls, PA will provide care in the new Fulton PrimeCare located at 98 N. Second St., alongside Vandana Patil, MD, and Deirdre A. Wahl, RN, MSN, FNP-C. Kohls, a certified PA-C and is well rounded with clinical experience in family medicine, pediatrics, emergency medicine, neurology, psychiatry, gastroenterology, and general surgery. Kohls earned his master of science in physician assistant studies at Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, and his bachelor of science in biology from Pennsylvania State University.

Neighbor Spotlight: Pine-Richland grad turns personal battle against Crohn s disease into advocacy for others who suffer

Submitted Pine-Richland graduate Jaclyn Lenhart, 21, struggled with symptoms of Crohn’s disease since age 13 but wasn’t diagnosed until she was 17. The disease affects portions of her gastrointestinal tract and causes pain, fatigue, arthritis, mouth ulcers and rashes. She has used her experience to advocate for people suffering from irritable bowel disease. Submitted Pine-Richland graduate Jaclyn Lenhart, 21, who was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease at age 17, is the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of Western PA/WV 2021 Adult Honored Hero for her advocacy for people suffering from irritable bowel disease. Lenhart has raised more than $7,000 for research with her team, “Jaclyn’s Joggers,” which participates in the foundation’s annual walk to raise money.

Valedictorians: Morgan Briceland The daughter of Jerry Briceland and Jodi McDaniel-Briceland of Salem graduates with a grade-point average of 4.0.  Extracurricular activities included soccer; basketball; track; band; National Honor Society; Ruriteens; Student Council; Yearbook; and American Sign Language Club. Briceland plans to attend Ohio University to study history-prelaw and sociology. Haley Dees The daughter of David and Jennifer Milliken-Dees of Lisbon graduates with a GPA of 4.0. Extracurricular activities included choir and UHS drama productions, Stage Left; Academic Challenge president; Talon Online newspaper editor; Spanish Club vice president; Principal’s Advisory Council; U & Me mentor program; Columbiana County honors choir; Student Council; National Honor Society; Key Club president; Columbiana County Youth Coalition; UHS varsity volleyball and Club Hollywood Junior Olympic volleyball.
