Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency advises resurfacing works on State Highway 29 on the western (Waikato) side of the Kaimai Ranges will get underway from this Sunday (28 February).
The worksite is located between the Swap Kaimai Farm Entrance and the Kaimai Mamaku Lookout Rest Area.
The traffic management site setup will take place on Sunday afternoon/evening. At this point the majority of the resurfacing works are planned to take place at night to reduce the impact on traffic flow however changes in weather or site conditions may require works to take place during the day.

Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency advises overnight resurfacing works on State Highway 25 in Thames and Kopu will take place overnight tonight (Friday 26 February).
These works had been scheduled for overnight last Saturday (20 February) but were postponed.
Nightworks will be undertaken between MacKay Street and Grey Street in Thames and between Kopu Road and the entrance to Claymark in Kopu between 8pm and 5am. Stop/Go traffic management will be in place during these works with a temporary speed limit of 30km/h, then 50km/h until the line markings are reinstated.
It is important motorists adhere to the relevant temporary speed limits during these works to avoid damage to their vehicles and ensure their safety and that of other road users and road workers.

A heavy rain warning has been issued for Tauranga and parts of the Bay of Plenty to 11am tomorrow.
The MetService said rain could ease off in some parts of the region overnight but there would be falls tomorrow. Rotorua would not be as hard hit but was still in for a deluge and windy weather.
Meteorologist Angus Hines said earlier today 21.4mm had fallen at the Tauranga Airport while 3.2mm had fallen at the Rotorua Airport. There s the risk for some pretty heavy falls in the next few hours and again tomorrow.
