Mindy Ragan Wood / The Transcript NORMAN — The City of Norman’s decision to clear out a homeless encampment this week drew criticism from some local advocates. The northeast corner of Alameda Street and Carter Avenue was deeded at no cost to the city by William H. Matoon Revocable Trust upon the approval of the Norman City Council during the April 9 meeting.

Amarillo City Council approves action plan with low income rental assistance VIDEO: Amarillo City Council approves action plan with low income rental assistance By Tamlyn Cochran | January 12, 2021 at 4:13 PM CST - Updated January 12 at 10:25 PM AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Today, Amarillo City Council approved the 2020/21 Community Development Block Grant and HOME Partnership Annual Action Plan. This includes $546,867 for Tenant Based Rental Assistance for low income tenants. The overall action plan approved is $1,695,314 for various programs, including partnerships for new construction and affordable housing. The action plan, formulated by the City of Amarillo Community Development Advisory Committee and public hearings, will be submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
