She takes the reins from the borough’s former Chief Inspector Adam Such, who is now leading the Constabulary’s Operations and Events team. The new chief inspector, who enjoys walking, reading and playing tennis in her spare time, said: “In the coming weeks and months I will be identifying the fundamental issues that affect the communities that call Three Rivers home and working with my teams to build a strategy to prioritise and tackle these concerns head on.

Four jailed after two men attacked in Watford town centre

A man from Borehamwood has been jailed for his part in a violent attack outside a club. Two clubbers were left seriously injured when they were assaulted after leaving Pryzm in Watford town centre on Tuesday April 30. Both victims required surgery after the attack - one suffered a broken arm while the other suffered a facial fracture - and neither victim has fully recovered. Four men have been jailed for a total of just over 12 years. Alexandru Hriscu, aged 22, of Wells Drive, Kingsbury, London, pleaded guilty to Section 18 Grievous Bodily Harm (GBH) and was sentenced on December 17 at St Albans Crown Court to seven years and four months in prison.
