The road closure in Rickmansworth Road, pictured on Saturday. Credit: Stephen Danzing/Watford Observer Camera Club A major road in Watford is unlikely to reopen until at least tomorrow, according to the town s mayor. Following a burst water main on Saturday morning, which flooded local roads and left households without water, Rickmansworth Road remains shut due to ongoing repairs. The closure is at the junction with Rosslyn Road and means there is no access westwards out of the town, without diverting via the ring road. Since the road and underpass was closed, Beechen Grove has been at a standstill from the town hall roundabout to the traffic lights near Clarendon Road, with delays worsening this morning with schools back.
