Student Is Wounded in Shooting at Arkansas School
The shooting took place at Watson Chapel Junior High School in Pine Bluff, Ark. Another student was arrested, the police said.
The shooting occurred on the first day of a return to in-person instruction after a week of subfreezing temperatures and two snowstorms.

A 15-year-old boy was wounded in a shooting at a junior high school in Pine Bluff, Ark., the authorities said on Monday, the first day back inside classrooms for a school district hit hard by weeks of winter weather.
The student, who was not named because he is a juvenile, was taken to Arkansas Children’s Hospital after he was shot by another 15-year-old boy at the school, Watson Chapel Junior High, Chief Kelvin Sergeant of the Pine Bluff Police Department said in an interview.
