UL could be used as mass vaccination centre

Limerick s Live 95 Search By Live95 News Team Live95 picture library The University of Limerick may be used as a mass vaccination centre when the Covid-19 jab is rolled out at a large scale next year. It was announced alongside the approval of the rollout strategy of the vaccine on Tuesday. At a press briefing on the rollout strategy and implementation plan for a Covid-19 vaccination programme this week, it was announced that third level institutions are being considered for sites to develop mass vaccination centres. Professor Brian MacCraith chairman of the Covid-19 vaccination taskforce said he had spoken to the President of the University of Limerick who expressed great support for the concept of being able to assist in the matter.

Child porn professor set free after serving just nine months in prison

A pervert college professor jailed for possessing child pornography told the Sunday World he now fully accepts child abuse imagery is wrong . We confronted Gregory Fewer, a former lecturer at Waterford Institute of Technology, as he was released from the Midlands Prison on Monday after serving just nine months inside. Fewer (51), who acted as an administrator of the now defunct paedophile discussion website boylover.net , was jailed in March after being convicted of possessing 27 images of child pornography and one written story about sex between two 13-year-old boys. Hard-drives were seized from Fewer s home in Corballymore, Dunmore East, Waterford and his office in WIT in 2011 but due to a delay in analysing the hardware, gardai didn t arrest or initiate a prosecution against him until 2017.
