WATERBURY A New Britain man was arrested Sunday after police say he brought marijuana into the Waterbury halfway house where he was living.
Police said Jamryon Sanders, 34, was charged with possession of less than a half ounce of marijuana and the unauthorized conveyance of an item into a correctional facility.
State police were called to the facility at 31 Wolcott St. around 11:30 p.m. after staff members found two small bags and a vial containing a green plantlike substance suspected of being marijuana, weighing 17.3 grams.
Police said Sanders attempted to conceal the marijuana inside an iced tea can.
