For as long as she can remember, Regan Bragg gravitated toward mathematics. At Colby College, she found computer science.
A 22-year-old native of Marshfield in rural Washington County, the Colby senior is the driving force behind Waterville Junior High School’s Coding Club, combining her academic interests and passion for working with children as an O’Hanian-Szostak Fellow for Civic Leadership.
Skowhegan, Waterville and Winslow-area schools report cases of COVID-19
Waterville Schools reported cases in three different schools.
School districts based in Skowhegan, Waterville and Winslow reported cases of COVID-19 late Friday afternoon.
Maine School Administrative District 54 Superintendent Jon Moody notified the community in a letter regarding a case involving a Skowhegan Area Middle School staff member. Three staff members and 53 students were impacted by the case.
“At this time there is no recommendation that we take additional actions beyond the quarantining of students and staff as described above,” Moody wrote. “Should anything about this situation change, or should other cases arise, we will reach out directly and post the information to the web.”

Three individuals from Maine School Administrative District 49, 54 and Waterville Public Schools have tested positive for COVID-19.

In a letter published Wednesday on the Fairfield-based district’s website, Superintendent Roberta Hersom said that a person at Lawrence Junior High School had tested positive for the disease.
The Department of Education and the Center for Disease Control & Prevention have not identified any close contacts, according to Hersom.
Waterville Board of Education updated on COVID-19 relief fund projects, hybrid instruction
Superintendent Eric Haley said $1.9 million from the second round of federal COVID-19 relief funding must be spent before Dec. 31, or the schools will lose it.
