WADSWORTH, Ohio Meet Alyssa Aey. 18-years-old and a senior at Wadsworth High School where her schedule is filled with honors classes and extracurriculars. Alyssa is a typical teen in so many ways.
“This morning I forgot to bring my flute to wind ensemble,”Alyssa said.
But Alyssa is extraordinary in a way the world is just beginning to understand.
“May 16th, 2018. Give me a second.”
Alyssa is believed to have a condition known as Hyperthymesia, or Highly Superior Autobiographic Memory (HSAM). Only about a hundred people are known to have it in the world.

A group of Shady Side Academy Junior and Middle School families organized a “No Hungry Kids!” fundraiser to support the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank in December and raised more than $5,300.
The Delfyett, Iannetti, Khalil, Walsh and Zureikat families created a video that was shown during Zoom assemblies at both schools and also emailed to parents to educate the community about hunger and the importance of nutrition. The team of students raised $5,301 from 67 donors.
