Ohioans reported both strange and serious COVID vaccine side effects

Ohioans have reported nearly 6,000 medical issues arising in the days and weeks following their COVID-19 vaccinations, but it s impossible to know which problems, if any, were actually caused by the shots. The Centers for Disease Control and prevention allows anyone to submit a report to its Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) online. That means reports are not verified and many of the symptoms people report, other than the expected mild side effects, might have no direct link to the shot, said Dr. Susan Koletar, director of the division of infectious diseases at Ohio State University s Wexner Medical Center. A wide range of adverse events were reported by Ohioans on VAERS in the months since the vaccine rollout began. People reported everything from abnormal X-rays and colonoscopies, to concussions, pink eye, general feelings of apathy and on the more serious side, suspected blood clots.
