Boris Johnson tells country to prepare for no deal with confidence as talks run past deadline

Boris Johnson has said there is a Brexit trade deal to be done but warned that the UK and EU remain very far apart on the key issues, as he urged the country to prepare for no deal.
The Prime Minister and European Commission President this morning agreed to extend today s deadline, issuing a joint statement saying that despite the âexhaustionâ from almost a year of trade talks, it was âresponsible to go the extra mileâ.
But speaking later, Mr Johnson struck a more downbeat tone.Â
