Starz Picks Up Death and Nightingales

TVDRAMA Starz Picks Up Death and Nightingales ADVERTISEMENT Red Arrow Studios International has secured a deal with Starz in the U.S. for the epic period drama Death and Nightingales. Originally commissioned by BBC Two in the U.K., Death and Nightingales is based on Eugene McCabe’s modern Irish classic novel, adapted and directed by Allan Cubitt and produced by Jonathan Cavendish. Matthew Rhys, Jamie Dornan and Ann Skelly star. Death and Nightingales will launch on Starz and the Starz app in the U.S. on May 16. Red Arrow Studios International has also sold Death and Nightingales to HBO Europe for CEE, the Nordics, Spain and Portugal; Sky Network Television for New Zealand; and Yes for Israel. Additionally, DirecTV picked up the series for all Latin American markets, excluding Brazil, and the series has also aired on BBC First in Belgium and The Netherlands, following a sale to BBC Studios.
