High winds, heavy rain forecast today and tomorrowÂ

A high wind warning is in effect from tonight through tomorrow morning as a storm is expected to bring heavy rain and strong wind gusts through the state.Â
The high wind warning is in effect from 6 p.m. tonight through 10 a.m. Friday, according to the National Weather Service. Today there will be cloudy skies and mild temperatures, Gary Lessor, meteorologist with the Weather Center at Western Connecticut State University, said. It will become breezy in the afternoon with high temperatures in the 50âs. Tonight the rain will pick up, especially after midnight, Lessor said.
