However, there is still a risk of your plans being disrupted by Covid-19 and hit with unexpected costs. Holidaymakers are still fighting to get refunds from tour operators and airlines for trips cancelled last summer. Many more are finding their airline won’t refund them for flights to Spain, France and elsewhere, even though the government says they shouldn’t currently travel.  Whilst the traffic light system is a way to kickstart travel again, it’s not fool-proof for holidaymakers.

 07 Mar 2021 - 22:11 Fazeena Saleem | The Peninsula Children of parents vaccinated against COVID-19 will be ‘exempt from hotel quarantine’ for arrivals into Qatar from red zone countries.  Qatar Airways Holidays, in partnership with Discover Qatar has announced that children up to 16 years old will be exempted from hotel quarantine only if accompanied by a parent who has received the full course of the COVID-19 vaccine in Qatar.  But the child will be required to quarantine at home for 7 days, according to the website.  Any adults (18 or over) who have received both doses of a COVID-19 vaccine from a medical facility in Qatar, with the second vaccine received at least 14 days before the date of entry into Qatar, are exempted from quarantine
