The data shows that in Interior Health, more than 90 per cent of cases are now caused by variants of concern primarily the Alpha (48 per cent) and Gamma (40 per cent) variants. Across all of B.C., the widely concerning Delta variant remains a relatively small proportion (12 per cent) of variant-of-concern cases.
