A 74-year-old man was pushed into the River Mersey by a gang of yobs who ran away laughing . The pensioner, said to be left âshakenâ by the ordeal was sitting on the bank of the Mersey on Wharf Street near Riverside Retail Park on Sunday, April 25.
He was approached from behind between 2:30pm and 3pm by two or three male youths who are believed to have pushed him causing him to fall into the water.
