Matthew McGee, from Birchwood, was fined and handed a two-year community order at Chester Magistrates Court in September last year having been found in possession of 1,041 vile pictures of abuse in April 2020. But another 1,000 category C indecent images were then found on two devices belonging to the 44-year-old, of Lyster Close, in October. Warrington Magistrates Court heard on Monday, March 22, that the pervert ‘did not notify police and had no intention to delete them’.

Warrington Hospital A DRUNK man who was caught carrying a knife at Warrington Hospital has been spared jail. Daniel Ireland was found in possession of the lock knife after abusing hospital staff while under the influence of alcohol during an incident on February 9 this year. The 37-year-old was handed a four-month imprisonment suspended for a year at Warrington Magistrates Court last month after admitting possession of a bladed article in a public place and drunk and disorderly behaviour. This custodial sentence was suspended due to the defendant, who is also known as Daniel Wilde, having ‘taken steps to tackle his alcohol addiction’.

Cheshire Police were granted a closure order on the property on Suffolk Street in Runcorn at Warrington Magistrates Court yesterday, Wednesday. The force has recently received a ‘large number of reports’ of drug dealing and anti-social behaviour on the premises. Neighbours raised concerns about people ‘coming and going at all hours’, while the occupants are said to have been verbally abusive to members of the public in the street. Officers have also been called out to reports of violence at the address.
